His focus was on making sure we were happy with our selection, so he went out of his way to borrow equipment for us to try so we didn't order something "sight unseen." When it came time to mount the speakers Davie was also a big help, suggesting a placement that made them quite unobtrusive and yet very effective. "For anyone who needs a sound engineer, Davie Harris is the first person that would come to my mind. I would never hesitate to highly recommend him. I have worked with him on several occasions, and each time I have so appreciated his efforts and contributions. Davie is a guy that is not only extremely talented and knowledgeable with sound engineering but he's a great team player. The ultimate test of his skills was when I asked and he agreed to take on the challenge of being sound engineer for a children's musical that I wrote and was directing. Not only did we need his skills for the dress rehearsals and performance, but we also decided to pre-record a sound track of all the songs (both the instrumental and choir vocal parts). Please understand that this meant Davie had to work with approximately 30 Kindergarten through second grade children in getting a quality recording of eleven songs. This is no easy task. He did a fantastic job though. I learned then that he has the skills for working with all ages. He knew how to capture those kids respect and cooperation, and yet also keep it fun for them.
If you're looking for a sound engineer, Davie Harris is a find! But don't spread the word too much, a guy like him must be in high demand."
